Book Reader is a monthly subscription. This page says what happens to your money when you cancel, when something goes wrong, and when the law gives you a right to withdraw.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from your account, or by writing to support@bookreader.ch. The month you have paid for runs to its end, you keep reading until then, and you are not charged again. We do not refund the unused part of a month.
Charges that should not have happened
If you were charged after cancelling, charged twice, or charged in error, write to us and we refund the amount in full. The refund goes back to the card you paid with, through Stripe, usually within five to ten business days.
If you live in the EU, the EEA or the UK
Consumer law there gives you 14 days from your first purchase to withdraw. The service starts at once when you subscribe, at your request, so if you withdraw you pay for the share of the month's translation allowance you have used, and we refund the rest. The allowance is 3,500,000 tokens; with 500,000 used, you have used one seventh, and we refund six sevenths of $10. Write to support@bookreader.ch within the 14 days and say that you withdraw. This right applies to your first purchase, not to the monthly renewals after it.
Everyone else
Swiss law has no general right of withdrawal for online subscriptions, and we do not offer one beyond the cases above. If something about the service let you down, write to us anyway; we read every message.
